Analogue Photography Exhibition

Friday | September 2nd, 2016 | 6:30pm-8:30pm

At a time when Darkrooms are disappearing in educational and commercial institutions they are emerging in bathrooms, basements and closets. Bringing to our consciousness both the science and Art of Photography, this exhibit features the work of the Mid Atlantic Analog Photographers.

The Mid-Atlantic Analog Photographers are a group of individuals who appreciate, study, and practice methods of analog photography. The members of this group choose to express themselves using roll, sheet, and/or instant film as well as through alternative processes, historical processes and darkroom techniques. Through the combination of traditional processes and contemporary ideals, each photographer approaches style and content in a variety of ways.

The exhibit will show Artwork by a dozen artists who work primarily in Frederick County and the surrounding region. Artists include Kayleigh Montgomery, Ashley Renee Hoffman, Shannon Beatty, Justin Williams, John Nelson, Josh Williams, Diana Ray, Johnny Martyr, Brady Wilks, Josh Hawkins, Holly Hilmer and Renzo Velez
